HVO (Hytrotreated Vegetable Oil) is a drop-in diesel alternative that offers a cleaner way to fuel your commercial fleets, with 90% lower net greenhouse gas emissions to help your business on the road to a greener future.

WHAT IS HVO FUEL?

Hydrotreated vegetable oil is a paraffinic diesel fuel that can be used as a direct replacement for both red and white diesel. It offers superior operational and environmental performance over fossil diesel with vast environmental benefits.

WHAT IS HVO MADE FROM?

HVO is synthesised from 100% renewable raw materials such as vegetable oils, animal oils and fats, reducing net CO2 greenhouse gas emissions by 90%.

HVO fuel uses a hydrogen-based production process, which results in a paraffinic diesel product with low aromatic and naphthenic hydrocarbon content with no sulphur. With zero FAME content, HVO doesn’t face the instability and operability issues that many mineral diesels and biofuels face.

WHY USE HVO FUEL?The advantage of running your business on HVO fuel is that it can be used as a direct, drop-in alternative to diesel; it can be stored in the same fuel tank and it can be used in exactly the same way as white and red diesel.

If your business is reliant on diesel, HVO provides a real opportunity to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90%. HVO fuel offers a fast and simple step towards “net zero” rather than the leap needed for electrification.

For large commercial fleets, this greener diesel alternative is ideal for on and off-road vehicles across a range of industries including construction, agriculture, road and rail transport, haulage, marine and the public sector.
